What does 'Organic Skin Care' mean?

 

You buy organically grown food when you can to avoid putting extra chemicals into your body but are you aware of the ones your putting on on it? The skin is the largest organ in our body and it's estimated that by using a range of body and skincare products, the average woman applies more than 200 chemicals to her skin a day . Furthermore, recent research has shown that 60 per cent of these chemicals are absorbed into the bloodstream.

True organic skin care products have no chemicals, pesticides, synthetic detergents, artificial colours, artificial fragrances, petroleum by-products, tar derviatives or genetically modified ingredients and are not tested on animals. Weren't aware these products were in skin care ranges?Think again.

To make sure your skin is getting only the purest, best ingredients in skin care check the label of anything that says it's organic and make sure certified organic by ACO (Australian Certified Organic). 

Certified Organic:

Farming standards have been confirmed by a government or independent organisation.

Organic:

Plants are grown without chemicals or pesticides.

Botanical:

Contains plant-based ingredients.

Natural:

Products with a small or large amount of plant, herb or fruit ingredients.
